We are proud to now be a Juliana Bicycles dealer. Juliana Bicycles are some of the most bad as bikes for women out there. What's more empowering than putting women on really cool bikes made for them! More after the jump.

There is a new wheel size on the on the horizon, 27.5in (or 650b). This is a size wheel that sits between 26in and 29in. The theory is that this wheel size will offer many of the benefits of both 26in and 29in. Some believe that it could actually display some of the best characteristics of both, rather than just an average of the two. 27.5 is reported to have the roll over, traction, and top speed characteristics of 29in, but also have the strength, stiffness, acceleration, weight, and handling of 26. For these reasons we at Magic Cycles are really excited about what 27.5 could do for how we ride mountain bikes.
Santa Cruz has been a long time supporter of 26in, and more recently supported 29in with great success (Tallboy LT winning about ever accolade there is). 2013 is becoming the year of 27.5in. In January they launched the Bronson which quickly became one of the most sought after bikes of the year. We have them in stock as well as demo's on the way. In May Juliana bikes (the women's brand within Santa Cruz) launched the 27.5in Furtado; a 125mm women's full suspension bike. This was followed shortly by the Solo, a 125mm full suspension trail bike. Both of these are available in aluminum and carbon. We think these bikes are going to be game changer! Come see what we have!
Unless you've been living under a rock (or think mountain bikes are silly), then you know how awesome Beech Mountain is going to be this summer. We have partnered with Beech Mountain to be the exclusive on mountain bike shop for rental and full service. The trails, scenic lift rides, restaurants, and our shop will be open every Friday 12-6, Saturday and Sunday 10-6 between June 7th and September 29th. If you have any questions about bikes and service at the mountain call us. If you have questions about lodging, amenities, or lift tickets contact Beech Mountain via email. Come enjoy the ride!
