Giant has officially announced the release of the 2011 Giant Anthem X 29er! Quick spec highlights include: - 100mm (4in) travel front and rear - Giant Overdrive tapered head tube - A PowerCore press-fit bottom bracket - Clearance for up to a 2.3 inch rear tire - 2395g claimed frame weight - 3x10 Dyna-Sys Shimano XT (Anthem X1 29er as seen below) Unfortunately, no other details are known at this time. Stay tuned though, we will post more info as it comes our way. 2011 Giant Anthem X1 29er (below):  No details are available for the 2011 Anthem X but here is an image to whet your appetite. Note that it does appear to have a tapered head tube. 2011 Giant Anthem X1 (below):  The 2011 Trance X will feature: -Frame weight drops 75 grams -Half degree slacker head tube angle (was 69.5 degrees, now 69 degrees) -4% increase in overall frame stiffness -Powercore press-fit bottom bracket -Tapered head tube (based on the image below) 2011 Giant Trance X1 (below):  The 2011 Reign will feature: -Frame weight drops 115 grams -Half degree slacker head tube angle (was 68 degrees, now 67.5 degrees) -Powercore press-fit bottom bracket -Tapered head tube (based on the image below)  |
